So, they gathered and Ibn ‘Abb ā s said: ‘I heard God’s Messenger say: “He who goes on foot to offer the ḥ ajj from Makkah and then returns, God writes for him the reward of seven hundred deeds for every step he took with each deed equivalent to the deeds of Ḥ aram.” When he was asked: “What are the deeds of Ḥ aram?” He replied: “Each has a reward of hundred thousand deeds.”’” 1 Following is the schematic illustration of the isn ā d of this narrative’s variants: 1.
